60704a5c00 Disk redirection actually uses share names; not drive letters. 
Make sure we truncate share names longer than 8 chars.
Documentation updated.

00af04fa57 some fixes for solaris compiles. 
toupper was redefined to handle strings, now renamed to toupper_str
